Wood Burning Stoves

Why Buy a Wood-Burning Stove at Royal Fire Pits?

A wood stove heats your home and empowers you to become independent from the grid. You control the heat and when it runs. The only fuel cost is the wood you burn. Lower electricity bills, and no more stressing about losing power again.

Whether you need something premium from Vermont Castings or an Englander model starting under a thousand dollars, you’ve come to the right place. You gain access to over 70 stoves here in our online storefront, all handpicked by our team of experts.

Every order ships free with no sales tax, and we will beat any authorized dealer price. Call or text us if you need help picking one out and upgrade your home’s heating today!

Narrow it Down to the Perfect Wood Stove Today!

There’s a wood-burning stove for every home in our online storefront. Get a personalized recommendation from our team today.

Catalytic vs Non-Catalytic Stoves

A catalytic wood stove burns the smoke and gases that would normally go up the chimney, which translates to longer burns and lower emissions. The tradeoff is the catalyst itself wearing down over time and needing replacement every few years (depending on how much you burn).

Non-catalytic stoves use secondary combustion tubes instead. They’re simpler to use, and there is no catalyst to deal with. Some models in this collection let you switch between catalytic and non-catalytic depending on how you want to manage the fire.

Wood Stove Sizing

Match the BTU output to your space. Too small a stove will not heat the room. One that is too big will run hot and push you out of it. This collection covers a wide range, from compact models for single rooms up to the 56,000 BTU Vermont Castings Defiant for large open layouts.

Not sure what size you need? Our team can walk you through it.

Insert or Freestanding?

Every stove in this collection is freestanding. You will find traditional cast iron wood stove models right alongside modern wood stove designs. Place any of them wherever makes sense for your layout.

Already have a fireplace opening and want something that slides into it? You can’t go wrong with a Vermont Castings wood stove insert!

Steel or Cast Iron?

Cast iron holds heat longer after the fire dies down and has you that classic stove look. Steel heats up faster but cools off quicker. Every wood-burning stove we sell is EPA certified, regardless of material.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a wood-burning stove cost?

Prices in this collection start at $949 for the Englander Blue Ridge and go up to $4,499 for the Vermont Castings Defiant. Most mid-range options from Osburn and Drolet land between $1,500 and $3,000. We price match and cover the shipping. You can get the best deal here.

What size wood stove is right for my home?

BTU output and square footage matter most. Something in the 30,000 BTU range will handle a couple of rooms. Over 50,000 BTU can heat 2,000+ square feet. Call or text us and we’ll match a model to your space.

What is the best wood stove for the money?

Depends on what you care about most. Englander makes an EPA-certified wood stove for under a thousand dollars if budget is the main concern. Want cast iron with long burn times and a premium finish? A Vermont Castings wood stove is hard to beat. Everything we carry ships free with no tax and comes with a full manufacturer warranty.
